With a population of only 2,561, Belvidere, New Jersey is the county seat of Warren County. It is less than one and a half square miles in size, but a methadone clinic Belvidere is still able to help locals struggling to overcome an opioid addiction. Methadone clinics in New Jersey should either offer other forms of addiction therapy in addition to methadone, such as behavioral therapy or psychotherapy, or they should recommend that patients seek such therapy, referring patients to other places where such services are provided. The combination of methadone treatment with these other forms of therapy is called Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), and it is considered the gold standard for opioid addiction recovery. MAT produces the highest recovery rates because it addresses addiction from all sides, so that patients can be truly prepared for the ups and downs of real life. Patients who undergo MAT will not only have treated their physical addiction with methadone, they will have worked on their psychological well-being, and made practical life changes that support long-term recovery.
