Clinic Description

Addiction Treatment & Treatment Services (ARTS) Outpatient Program offers drug rehab services for opioid recovery in Aurora, Colorado. The Potomac Street Center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis care, outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for adolescents, gender-specific groups, veterans, and justice-involved persons.

At ARTS, clients undergo a personalized evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. Clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, Suboxone, Antabuse, and Vivitrol to ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. Clients also participate in drug testing and counseling to prevent relapse. An off-site office-based MAT program and a mobile MAT van are also available in Aurora.

In addition to medication management, clients receive group, individual, and couples therapy to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Clients undergo cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), stress management, enrollment in 12 12-step programs, and art therapy. ARTS may make additional referrals to its inpatient residential programs or to outside treatment centers for substance abuse programs.

ARTS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

The Potomac Street Center offers self-pay and financing options. The center may be in a network with insurance providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out of network benefits.
