Addictions & Substance Abuse Program (ASAP)

Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Addictions & Substance Abuse Program is an alcohol and drug rehab center for adolescents and adults. They’re part of the University of New Mexico Health System. They provide integrated addiction recovery services including medication assisted treatment, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services. Specialized support is available for teens, pregnant and postpartum women, people with severe trauma or mental illness, and those with co-occurring conditions.

Their program helps you overcome addictions to alcohol and other substances. A team of multidisciplinary providers can administer FDA-approved medications like methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. They help you manage the physical symptoms of withdrawal, minimize cravings, and reduce relapse risk.

Their outpatient treatments focus on evidence-based therapies designed to help you understand your addictions, identify triggers, learn healthy coping techniques, and develop the necessary life skills for long-term recovery. Available services include individual, group, and family counseling; addiction education; training to avoid relapse; and peer groups. Lengthier maintenance programs are available for clients with more extensive pharmacotherapy needs.
