Clinic Description
Bay Area Addiction Research and Treatment (BAART) Program is a drug rehab for opioid recovery in San Francisco, California. The center on Market Street provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, dual diagnosis care, outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for veterans and pregnant and postpartum women. Services are available in English, French, and Spanish.
At BAART Programs – Market St., clients are evaluated and assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone and buprenorphine, are used to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Take-home medication programs and drug testing are also available to discourage relapse. Transportation is available for Medi-Cal clients.
Besides medication management, clients participate in individual counseling to address co-occurring mental health disorders. Therapy can include life skills development, educational workshops, and coping mechanisms to build resilience. BAART Programs also provides referrals to outside treatment centers for specialized substance abuse care.
BAART Programs offers self-pay and financing options. The center accepts Medicare and Medi-Cal and is in a network with many insurance providers, including Optum and TriWest for veterans. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
