Clinic Description

The Drug Abuse Research & Treatment (DART) Program is part of the Community Action Organization of Western New York and offers drug rehab services in Buffalo, New York. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized programs are available for children, teenagers, and seniors.

At DART, clients are assessed and receive a customized treatment plan. Licensed clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, which may include methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, and disulfiram, to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Clients are supervised during dosing and throughout their treatment to discourage relapse.

In addition to medication management, clients participate in counseling to address co-occurring behavioral health disorders. Family resources and therapy are available for clients to reintegrate into their community and develop healthy daily living routines. Clients may be referred to outside facilities and specialized substance abuse programs.

DART offers self-pay and financing options. The center accepts Medicaid through commercial providers such as BlueCross/BlueShield, Fidelis, Independent Health, Optum/United Healthcare, and Wellcare. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
