Cermak Health Services of Cook County offers drug rehab services in Chicago, Illinois, for opioid recovery. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis, outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare services for justice-involved persons. Specialized services are available for children, adolescents, young adults, and gender-specific groups under court orders.
At Cermak Health Services of Cook County, clients undergo an evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, such as naloxone, are used to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal pains. Additional evidence-based counseling is used to prevent relapse.
Clients also participate in individual and group therapy to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Life skills development, career coaching, and other cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approaches may be used to help clients form positive daily living habits. Limited legal services may be available for clients. Referrals may also be given for outside treatment centers in the Cook County network, such as the Health Bridge Clinic, which specializes in alcohol and substance abuse.
