Clinic Description

Colton Comprehensive Treatment Center is a renowned Colton methadone clinic that is among the best and most visited methadone clinics in California. The primary medication used at this center is buprenorphine. And what is a difference between it and methadone? Buprenorphine is the first medication that can be prescribed in physician offices, which means that the treatment access is not as limited as it used to be. Methadone on the other hand has to be given in a clinic only, changes the way a patient’s brain works by blocking the nervous system’s stimuli to severe pain. Some of the opiate drugs that get treated with it are: heroin, morphine, codeine, oxycodone and hydrocodone. Naltrexone is the third medication that effectively blocks the effects of as heroin, morphine, and codeine too. Naltrexone works by binding and blocking opioid receptors thus reducing opioid cravings. Also, it is not easily abused like methadone.
