Connections AZ offers drug rehab services for opioid recovery in Phoenix, Arizona. The center provides medication-assisted treatment, detox, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP) and general programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults, adults, seniors, and American Indian/Alaskan Native groups. Specialized services are available for pregnant and postpartum women and justice-involved persons.
At Connections AZ, clients undergo a customized evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, naltrexone (Vivitrol), buprenorphine (Suboxone), disulfiram, and acamprosate are used to alleviate withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Additional pharmacological treatments are provided to prevent relapse.
Besides medication management, clients participate in group and individual therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) approaches, motivational interviewing, and trauma counseling. Family and community resources may be available in addition to referrals to outside treatment centers and specialized substance abuse programs.
Thunderbird Treatment Center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD).
Connections AZ offers self-pay and financing options. The center accepts Medicare and Medicaid and is in-network with American Indian Health Plan, BlueCross/BlueShield, Humana, Magellan, NaphCare, Navajo Nation, Pascua Yaqui Tribe, TriWest VA Arizona, and UnitedHealthcare.
