Clinic Description
Harlem Outpatient Clinic, operated by Samaritan Daytop Village, offers dual-diagnosis outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for substance use to those aged 17 and older in New York, New York. Services include gender-specific treatment, DWI programs, domestic violence classes, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP).
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) uses FDA-approved medication to treat withdrawal symptoms, manage cravings, and lower the risk of relapse. Harlem Outpatient Clinic uses MAT during detox, and patients also receive evidence-based counseling to help them prepare for a substance-free life without medication assistance.
The IOP meets for nine hours per week, and general outpatient treatment meets a few hours per week. Both programs include individual and group therapy, medication management, recovery skills training, wellness management, and relapse prevention. Staff use trauma-informed therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients make long-term changes.
Harlem Outpatient Clinic accepts Medicaid and most private insurance plans, such as Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Amerigroup, Ambetter, and United Healthcare. Insurance plans vary, so be sure to verify coverage information and out of network benefits with your insurer.
