Clinic Description

Dr. Elma Granado, MD, LFAPA is a psychiatrist at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She provides mental and behavioral health care and addiction recovery services for adults, including medication assisted treatment. Inpatient treatment, outpatient treatment and aftercare support are also available through the hospital. Specialized services are available for intravenous drug users, pregnant and postpartum women, Spanish-language speakers and clients with co-occurring conditions. Telehealth appointments may be available upon request.

Dr. Granado’s MAT program supports clients through the medical detox process as they withdraw from alcohol, opioids and other substances. In addition to counseling services and addiction education, she can provide FDA-approved medications, including methadone, to ease withdrawal symptoms and improve client comfort. Clients requiring longer term pharmacology can access MAT maintenance services.

When detox is complete, Dr. Granado can refer clients to further treatment within the hospital, which may include inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. Available services include one on one and group therapy, life skills training and relapse prevention education to help clients achieve continued recovery.

Dr. Granado and John Peter Smith Hospital work with most major insurance providers, including Aetna, Cigna, HealthSmart, United Healthcare, TRICARE and others. They also accept Medicare and Medicaid.
