Clinic Description
Friendship House Association – American offers alcohol and drug rehab services, including opioid recovery, in San Francisco, California. The center provides medication-assisted treatment, dual diagnosis care, inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and aftercare programs for young adults and adults. Additional services are available for American Indian/Native Alaskan groups, underserved communities, and gender-specific groups.
At Friendship House Association, clients undergo a personalized evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. Clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone, to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Holistic treatment, including traditional American Indian practices, are included in MAT programs.
In addition to medication management, clients are enrolled in inpatient and outpatient care for approximately 6 months. Services include group and individual counseling, life skills development, family resources, and social services. Periodic drug testing is provided. Childcare is available at The Women’s Lodge. Clients may participate in community workshops and events. The Friendship House may make additional referrals to outside treatment centers and substance abuse programs.
Friendship House Association is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the California Department of Health Care Services.
The Friendship House Association offers self-pay and financing options. The center may be in a network with insurance providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, and Wellpoint.
