Clinic Description
Hagop M. Tabakian, MD is a board certified pain medicine physician and anesthesiologist at the University of Florida Health Pain Management Center, as well as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the University of Florida, both located in Jacksonville, Florida. He provides interventional pain management services for adolescent and adult clients, including medication-assisted treatment, outpatient treatment and aftercare services for clients in addiction recovery. This includes dedicated services for pregnant and postpartum women, intravenous drug users, speakers of languages other than English and clients with co-occurring conditions.
His MAT services help clients detox from alcohol, opioids and other drugs under professional medical supervision. As required, Dr. Tabakian can administer FDA-approved medications, including methadone, buprenorphine and Suboxone to improve client comfort and lessen the severity of withdrawal symptoms.
When this process is complete, clients can visit Dr. Tabakian for outpatient care, which includes a combination of individual and group therapy, relapse prevention training and life skills education to promote continued recovery. If clients require longer term pharmacotherapy services, MAT maintenance programs are available.
Hagop M. Tabakian, MD can accept most major insurance plans, including Aetna, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, First Health, Humana, United Healthcare and others. Contact your insurance provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary.
