Clinic Description
Harm Reduction Therapy Center, in San Francisco, California, offers drug rehab services for opioid recovery through its affiliation with the California Association of Harm Reduction Therapists. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis care, outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for adolescents, young adults, and adults. Specialized services are available for homeless/indigent persons and the LGBTQ+ community.
At the Harm Reduction Therapy Center, clients undergo an individualized assessment and are assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, such as methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, or disulfiram, are used to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms. Clients also participate in therapy to discourage relapse.
In addition to medication management, clients also receive individual and group counseling and psychotherapy to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Community liaisons, a mobile unit, and outreach programs also provide life skills, career coaching, and amenities to promote healthy daily routines. Harm Reduction Therapy Center may make referrals to outside treatment centers for specialized substance abuse programs.
Harm Reduction Therapy Center offers self-pay and financing options. The center may be in a network with insurance providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, and Wellpoint.
