Clinic Description
Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Hennepin County Medical Center’s Addiction Medicine Program provides psychiatric services for adults in addiction recovery. Operating at the Hennepin Healthcare Shapiro Building, they provide medication assisted treatment, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services. Dual diagnosis support is available for those ith co-occurring addictions and mental health disorders.
Their medication services help you withdraw from alcohol and other substances in a medically supervised environment. Providers can administer FDA-approved addiction medications to alleviate the symptoms of withdrawal, minimize client cravings, and lower relapse risk.
In addition, they also offer an array of psychiatric and psychotherapy services at the outpatient level. These include personal evaluations, individual and group counseling, and medication management. During their counseling sessions, you’ll closely examine their addiction, identify and address underlying mental health disorders, and develop skills for a good recovery. Providers may be able to make referrals to community treatment providers if you need more extensive or continued support.
They accept most commercial insurance plans. They also accept Medicare. Ask your provider to verify your coverage because out-of-network benefits may vary.
