Clinic Description
The Jefferson Methadone Clinic, also known as the Narcotic Addictions Rehab Program, is part of the Jefferson Health Network and offers rehab services for opioid recovery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The center on South 21St Street provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, dual diagnosis care, intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP), and aftercare for young adults, adults, and seniors.
At the South 21St Street facility, clients are generally moving from inpatient care. In this 12-16-week program, clients receive a customized evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone and buprenorphine, are used to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms. Clients also participate in 12-step programs and other pharmacological research studies to prevent relapse.
In addition to medication management, clients receive therapy to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Additional services include emotional wellness training, peer support, community activities, and educational workshops. Nutritional guidelines and transportation are included. Clients may be referred to outside treatment centers and substance abuse programs.
Jefferson Methadone Clinic is accredited by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP).
All services are covered by Medical Assistance plans. Specialized referrals and care may accrue a fee and may be eligible for coverage under insurance providers, such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, United Healthcare, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for out-of-network benefits.
