Clinic Description
Downtown LA VA Clinic offers drug rehab services for opioid recovery and co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders in Los Angeles, California. The center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis care, outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare services for veterans and their families. Specialized services are available for the LGBTQ+ community, homeless/indigent persons, gender-specific groups, seniors, and underserved communities.
At the Los Angeles VA Clinic, clients are assigned a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, such as methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, or disulfiram, may be used to lessen withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Additional counseling services are provided to prevent relapse.
In addition to medication management, clients also receive individual and group therapy in virtual and in-person sessions. Hotlines and nurse’s lines are available. The Los Angeles VA Clinic may also coordinate care with other rehabilitation specialists, including social workers and caregivers, along with outside treatment centers for substance abuse. Limited transportation services are available.
The Los Angeles VA Clinic is accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Services (CARF).
The Los Angeles VA Clinic offers self-pay and financing options. The center may be in-network with insurance providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, TRICARE, and Wellpoint.
