Clinic Description

Star Care, formerly Lubbock Regional MHMR Center Methadone Program, offers alcohol and drug rehab services in Lubbock, Texas. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for seniors, veterans, the intellectually disabled community, pregnant and postpartum women, and expecting fathers. Services are available in English and Spanish.

At Star Care, clients are assessed and assigned to a case management team. Licensed clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, and disulfiram, to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms. Clients are supervised during dosing and throughout their treatment to discourage relapse.

In addition to medication management, clients also participate in individual and group counseling. Clients from Lubbock, Crosby, Lynn, Hockley, and Cochran are eligible for education workshops, life skills development, and dual diagnosis care to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. A mobile crisis team is also available. Star Care may make referrals to outside facilities for specialized substance abuse programs.

Star Care offers self-pay and financing plans. The center may be in-network with Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, Optum, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
