Clinic Description

Located in Fort Worth, Texas, MHMR of Tarrant County provides behavioral health, mental health, and addiction recovery services for children, adolescents, and adults. Their age-specific programs include medication assisted treatment, residential treatment, outpatient treatment and aftercare support. Dedicated services are available for military personnel and veterans, refugees, intravenous drug users, juvenile clients in the criminal justice system, members of the LGBTQ+ community, Spanish-speaking clients, clients with HIV/AIDS, pregnant and postpartum women and clients with co-occurring conditions.

Their MAT services support clients as they detox from alcohol, opioids, or other substances. In addition to individual and group counseling, licensed physicians can administer FDA-approved medications, including Suboxone, buprenorphine, and naloxone, to ease withdrawal symptoms and optimize client comfort. Some clients may require residential detox treatment, which lasts five to 10 days and includes 24 hour monitoring.

Their outpatient services include continued counseling, substance abuse education, relapse prevention training and peer based support groups. Juvenile clients may also receive probation liaison services as appropriate. If additional addiction recovery services are required, providers can refer patients to outside resources. MAT maintenance programs are available for clients with longer term pharmacotherapy needs.

MHMR of Tarrant County works with many major insurance providers, including Cigna, Humana, Anthem, United Healthcare, TRICARE and others. They also accept Medicaid. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary.
