Clinic Description

Mile Square Health Center, part of the Family Guidance Center network, is a drug rehab in Chicago, Illinois for opioid recovery and co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Mile Square Health Center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, inpatient treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), general outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare programs for young adults and adults. Specialized programs are available for teenagers and justice-involved persons.

At Mile Square Health Center, clients undergo a personalized evaluation and are assigned a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, Suboxone, and Vivitrol, are used to ease withdrawal symptoms and chronic pain. Incarcerated clients can receive injectable naltrexone/Vivitrol until they are released. Medication-assisted treatment also includes 24/7 monitoring to assist clients in the transition to sobriety.

Detox also includes holistic and emotional wellness training. Counseling can include education workshops to prevent relapse, relationship and communication exercises, and periodic drug testing.

After detox, clients may participate in inpatient or outpatient programs. Clients engage in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approaches to promote healthy daily routines, including additional family counseling and resources. Acute cases may be referred to Mile Square Health Center’s network partners for specialized substance abuse treatment. Telehealth may be available for outpatient sessions.

Mile Square Health Center is accredited by The Joint Commission.
