Clinic Description

NEXA/HAS (Healthcare Alternative Systems) is a drug rehab in Chicago, Illinois specializing in opioid recovery. The center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services for young adults and adults. Services are available in English and Spanish.

At NEXA/HAS, clients undergo a personalized evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone and other buprenorphine medications, are used to ease withdrawal and chronic pain. Clients are also introduced to 12 Step programs as they begin their transition into sobriety.

In addition to detox, NEXA/HAS provides individual and group counseling using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) techniques to prevent relapse. Education classes, trauma therapy, and motivational interviews are also used to strengthen clients’ healthy daily living habits. Referrals may be made to outside treatment centers for specialized substance abuse programs.

NEXA/HAS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

NEXA/HAS offers self-pay and financing options. The center accepts Medicaid and is in-network with insurance providers which can include Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, United Healthcare, and Wellpoint.
