Dallas VA Medical Center offers drug rehab services for opioid recovery in Dallas, Texas. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis care, inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and aftercare programs for veterans and their families. Specialized services are available for seniors, underserved communities, and homeless/indigent persons.
At Dallas VA Medical Center, clients undergo a personalized evaluation and are assigned a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions can include methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, or disulfiram to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Additional pharmacological treatments are available to prevent relapse.
In addition to medication management, clients participate in individual and group counseling to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Dallas VA Medical Center provides education workshops, emotional wellness training, trauma care, and physical therapy to build resilience and develop healthy daily living habits. Referrals may be made within the VA network or outside treatment centers for substance abuse programs. Limited transportation services are available.
