Clinic Description

NorthStar Transitions is a drug rehab for opioid recovery in Denver, Colorado. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, dual diagnosis care, inpatient (IP), partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and aftercare programs for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for veterans.

At NorthStar Transitions, clients are evaluated and assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, including Soboxone, Subutex, and Clonidine, are used to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Methadone is not provided. Non-medical social detox can include holistic treatments to prevent relapse.

In addition to medication management, clients may be eligible for inpatient care, in which up to 15 clients receive cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational interviews, and outdoor therapy. Outpatient programs can last up to 12 weeks, and provide life skills, career coaching, and mindfulness to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. NorthStar Transitions may provide referrals to outside treatment centers and specialized substance abuse programs.

NorthStar Transitions is accredited by The Joint Commission and Colorado’s Department of Human Services Office of Behavioral Health.
