Oklahoma City VA Medical Center offers alcohol, tobacco, and drug rehab services, including opioid recovery, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis care, inpatient (IP) and outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for veterans and their families. Specialized services are available for homeless/indigent persons, the LGBTQ+ community, and gender-specific groups.
At Oklahoma City VA Medical Center, clients undergo a personalized evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. Walk-ins are accepted. FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, buprenorphine/naloxone like Suboxone, naltrexone injections, acamprosate, disulfiram, topiramate, bupropion, and varenicline. Clients are monitored 24/7 and participate in drug testing to discourage relapse.
Besides medication management, clients may be eligible for individual and group counseling to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Clients receive trauma therapy, family resources, primary care, spiritual healing, and physical therapy to promote healthy daily routines. Telehealth and transportation services are also available. The VA Medical Center may make referrals to outside treatment centers or within the VA network for specialized substance abuse programs.
