Clinic Description
Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, Roudebush VA Medical Center provides primary, mental, and behavioral health care services for military personnel, veterans, and their families. This includes medication assisted treatment for adults in addiction recovery, as well as telehealth care, crisis intervention, and general outpatient and aftercare programs. Specialized services are available for teens, seniors, the LGBTQ+ community, homeless and indigent persons, and those with co-occurring disorders.
Providers in their medication program work with each client on an individual basis to understand their condition and develop a treatment plan that supports their needs. This may include administering FDA-approved medications. These are methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone,, Disulfiram, and Acamprosate. They help ease the physical symptoms of your withdrawal, curb cravings, and reduce relapse risk.
Once completing medical detox, you can begin outpatient recovery treatment, which will include rehabilitation, health maintenance, and community support services along with individual, group, and family counseling and recovery-focused life skills training. If you require higher-intensity treatment in an inpatient alcohol or drug rehab, providers can make those referrals.
In addition to military benefits, they accept most major insurance plans. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary. Financial assistance is available.
