Opioid Treatment Program – John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, provides drug rehab services including detox treatment for service men and women or their family members living with an alcohol, drug, or opioid dependence. The facility provides medication assisted detox, intervention services, inpatient care, and outpatient care. They accept self pay options, military insurance and private insurance. Financial aid and sliding scale payment assistance may also be available for those who qualify.
The Opioid Treatment Program allows veterans and their family members to have access to MAT using FDA approved medications including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone (Vivitrol). All clients are cared for under the supervision of trained medical professionals and have access to medication management, counseling, and other support.
Clients who need additional care following detox can find it through inpatient and outpatient care. Both treatment modalities allow clients to navigate sobriety in a supportive and positive environment. Family, group, and individual counseling; peer support; and substance abuse education allow clients to establish healthy habits that can help support their sobriety.
