Clinic Description
Queen’s Counseling Services, part of The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, offers drug rehab services. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient (IP), partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP), and aftercare programs for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for adolescents.
At Queen’s Counseling Services, clients are evaluated and assigned to a case management team. In the inpatient setting, clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, such as methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, and disulfiram, to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Once the client has stabilized, they can transition into an outpatient setting.
In addition to medication management in an inpatient setting, outpatient programs can include dual diagnosis care to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Clients can receive cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and holistic therapy approaches to prevent relapse. Clients also develop life skills, undergo community reintegration programs, and participate in individual, group, and family therapy. Referrals may be given to outside treatment centers for specialized care.
Queen’s Medical Center offers self-pay and financing options. The center accepts Medicare and Medicaid, but not out-of-state Medicaid programs. Major insurance programs, such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Humana, Optum, United Healthcare, and Wellpoint may be accepted, with the exception of Kaiser Permanente. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
