Clinic Description
Ramon Velez Health Center, part of the Acacia Network, offers drug rehab services for opioid and alcohol recovery in the Bronx, New York. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, outpatient programs, and aftercare services for young adults, adults, and gender-specific groups. Services are available in English and Spanish. Specialized programs within the Acacia Network are available for children, adolescents, and seniors.
At Ramon Velez Health Center, clients undergo a personalized evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions for methadone, other buprenorphine treatments, and Vivitrol are provided to ease withdrawal and reduce chronic pain. Clients also receive holistic therapies throughout detox to transition to sobriety.
In addition to detox, clients participate in individual and group counseling, family therapy, and emotional wellness training for co–occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. Clients may be enrolled in 12 Step programs, engage in education classes to prevent relapse, and participate in peer support groups. Referrals may be available for substance abuse programs in outside treatment centers, including gender-specific inpatient care, within the Acacia network.
Ramon Velez Health Center offers self-pay and financing options. Medicare and Medicaid are accepted. The center may be in-network with insurance providers, including Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, TRICARE, and Wellpoint.
