Clinic Description
Sand Island Treatment Center (SITC) is an alcohol and drug rehab in Honolulu, Hawaii. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and aftercare programs for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for justice-involved persons, veterans, and homeless/indigent persons.
At SITC, clients are evaluated and assigned to a case management team. Licensed clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, which may include methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, and disulfiram, to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal symptoms. Clients are supervised 24/7 to discourage relapse. The program lasts for up to 2 years.
In addition to medication management, clients participate in group and individual counseling to build resilience. Clients may enroll in peer support programs, such as 12 Steps Programs, perform chores, and partake in community programs. SITC may provide referrals to outside facilities or specialized substance abuse programs.
Sand Island Treatment Centers is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
SITC offers self-pay and financing options. The center may be in-network with insurance providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, and TRICARE. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
