Clinic Description
South Texas Substance Abuse Recovery Services (STSARS) offers alcohol and drug rehab programs in Corpus Christi, Texas. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized programs are available for pregnant and postpartum women and justice-involved clients.
At STSARS, clients receive an individual evaluation and are assigned to a case management team. Clinicians administer medication-assisted treatment, including methadone and suboxone, to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings. Clients also receive counseling to prevent relapse.
In addition to medication-assisted treatment, clients participate in education programs to strengthen their recovery. Approaches include an introduction to 12 Steps Programs, trauma care, legal services for court-ordered programs, drug testing, and overdose prevention strategies. STSARS may make referrals to outside facilities for specialized treatment programs.
STSARS is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), the Substance Abuse and Mental and Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Texas Department of State Health Services.
STSARS offers self-pay and financing options. Selected services are available at no cost for low-income clients. The center may be in-network with Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, Optum, and Wellpoint. Please check your provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
