Specialized Assistance Services, Inc. (Outpatient Unit) offers drug rehab programs for opioid recovery in Chicago, Illinois. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), generalized outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare to young adults, adults, and seniors. Specialized services are available for pregnant and postpartum women and justice-involved persons.
At Specialized Assistance Services, clients are assigned a case management team. FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone, are used to ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. Additional evidence-based pharmacological approaches are used to prevent relapse.
In addition to medication-assisted treatment, clients participate in group and individual counseling to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. In educational workshops, clients develop emotional wellness and build resilience. Referrals may be made to the organization’s residential facility in Manteno, Illinois, or to outside treatment centers and specialized substance abuse programs.
Specialized Assistance Services offers self-pay and financing options. Medicaid is accepted, and the center may be in-network with insurance providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross, BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan Health, Optum, United Healthcare, and Wellpoint.
