Clinic Description

UR Medicine Mental Health and Wellness’s Outpatient Chemical Dependency Services provides addiction recovery services for adolescents and adults in Rochester, New York. Operating as part of Strong Memorial Hospital, their programs include medication assisted treatment, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services. Specialized support is available for Latino clients and clients with co-occurring conditions.

They help you withdraw from alcohol, opioids, and other drugs under medical supervision. A team of mult-disciplinary providers administer FDA-approved addiction medications to optimize client comfort, reduce cravings, and minimize relapse risk throughout the withdrawal process. Available medications include buprenorphine, methadone, oral naltrexone, acamprosate, varenicline, and disulfiram, as well as monthly injectable doses of naltrexone.

Their outpatient counseling services help you understand and address the underlying mental, emotional, and behavioral aspects of their addiction and lay the groundwork for long-term recovery. Sessions may be one-on-one or conducted in a group setting. Their aftercare program may include connecting you to other departments within the hospital or to outside providers that can offer support.

They’re in-network with most major insurance providers. They also accept Medicare and Medicaid. Ask your provider to verify your coverage as out-of-network benefits can vary.
