Clinic Description
The Salvation Army’s Family Treatment Services offers alcohol and drug rehab services in Honolulu, Hawaii. The center provides non-medical detox, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), inpatient (IP), partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP) programs, and aftercare for young adults, adults, and gender-specific groups.
At the Salvation Army, clients are evaluated and assigned to a case management team. Although detox is non-medical, clients in residential and outpatient programs may receive FDA-approved prescriptions, such as methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, and disulfiram to ease withdrawal pains and reduce cravings once they transition into residential and outpatient care. Clients are supervised during dosing and throughout their treatment to discourage relapse.
In addition to medication management, clients participate in individual and group counseling, enroll in 12 Steps Programs, undergo spiritual healing, and work on life skills development and physical exercises. Transitional housing may be available for women with young children and receive parenting classes and family resources. The Salvation Army may make referrals to outside facilities and specialized substance abuse programs.
The Salvation Army is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
The Salvation Army offers self-pay and financing options, including some free services. The center may be in-network with Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, Magellan, Optum, and Wellpoint. Please check your insurance provider for coverage and out-of-network benefits.
