Clinic Description

Tacoma Pierce County Health Department’s Meds First program and methadone clinic offer drug rehab services in Tacoma, Washington. The program provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Services are available in multiple languages, including Spanish, through an interpreter.

At Meds First, clients are assessed and assigned to a case management team. In addition to medication management, clients participate in group counseling to build emotional wellness. Harm reduction interventions are also available. Clients may also participate in education workshops and referrals to outside treatment facilities and specialized substance abuse programs.
