Clinic Description
The UNM Family Medicine Clinic provides primary care, behavioral health care, and addiction recovery services for children, adolescents, and adults in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Their offerings include medication assisted treatment, outpatient treatment, and aftercare services, including specialized support for seniors, pregnant and postpartum women, Native American clients, incarcerated people, and those with co-occurring conditions. Telehealth appointments may be available.
Their MAT services are designed around each client’s individual needs. To ease withdrawal symptoms and improve client comfort, providers may administer FDA-approved medications, including methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone throughout the medical detox stage.
Their outpatient services provide a complete continuum of care, allowing clients to address the mental and emotional aspects of their addiction. Services include individual and group counseling sessions, addiction education, life-skills training, and related resources. Providers can also make referrals to other departments within the University of New Mexico healthcare network if additional resources are required.
UNM Family Medicine Clinic is in-network with many commercial insurance providers. Verify your coverage with your individual provider as out of network benefits can vary.
