Clinic Description

VIP Community Services, in the Bronx, New York, is a drug rehab for opioid recovery. The center offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis care, inpatient treatment, outpatient therapy, and aftercare programs for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for homeless/indigent persons, the LGBTQ+ community, pregnant and postpartum women, and adolescents. Services are available in English, Spanish, French, and Russian.

At VIP Community Services, clients undergo a personalized evaluation. Medication management consists of FDA-approved prescriptions, including methadone and Suboxone to ease withdrawal and chronic pain. Medication-assisted treatment is available 24/7, and no referrals are needed. LImited mobile detox and home health services are also available.

In addition to detox, clients receive group and individual counseling and holistic therapy in inpatient and outpatient settings. Clients with co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders are also assessed, and emotional wellness training can include trauma therapy and education classes to prevent relapse.

Alumni receive continuous support through follow-up visits and counseling as needed. A hotline is available 24/7.

VIP Community Services is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

VIP Community Services offers self-pay and financing options. Insurance providers accepted for MAT include Affinity Health Plan, Amida Care, Beacon, Centers Plan for Healthy Living, Cigna,
Community Care Behavioral Health Organization, Empire BlueCross BlueShield, Fidelis, Healthfirst, Humana, MetroPlus, Optum, UnitedHealthcare, Village Care, Visiting Nurse Service of New York, and WellCare. Outpatient and inpatient programs may accept different plans. Please check with your insurance provider for specific details concerning out of network benefits.
