West Oakland Health Council’s Substance Abuse Service Department offers drug rehab services in Oakland, California. The center provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT), outpatient programs (OP), and aftercare for young adults and adults. Specialized services are available for teenagers, pregnant and postpartum women, and gender-specific groups.
At West Oakland Health Council’s Substance Abuse Service Department, clients are assessed and receive a customized treatment program. Licensed clinicians administer FDA-approved prescriptions, which may include methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, and disulfiram, to reduce cravings and ease withdrawal pains. Clients are supervised during dosing and throughout their program.
In addition to medication management, clients participate in individual and group counseling to address co-occurring mental and behavioral health disorders. The case management team provides trauma therapy, collaborates with local community resources and social services. Referrals may be provided to outside facilities and specialized substance abuse programs.
